The Story so far... I
started the game at an early age - becoming a member of Crosland
Heath at three. That was thanks to my Dad who gave me a cut down 3
wood to use in the field behind our house. Through my school life I
play I
then got into the Huddersfield/Halifax golf set up, playing for the
Union as a junior and senior many times, and also Yorkshire County
as a County Boy and finally as a member of the 7-man team which won
the English County Finals at St Enodoc. Meeting John Eyre, who is
the teaching Professional at Crosland Heath and my Coach, is one of
the reasons why my golf has got to where it is. If it was not for
his hard work, and the time he gives, and how he believes in me, I
would never be where I am now. Also if it was not for my family, my
girlfriend and her family, then again I would not have achieved half
of what I have. Throughout
my school life I played golf and carried it on to Myerscough
College, Preston, where I studied a National Diploma in golf for 2
years followed by a foundation degree in Golf and Leisure Management
linked with the University of Central Lancashire. Through these
years studying, I continually played competitive golf and gained
many honors and achieved some great results! After graduating from University I played the 2005 season as a full-time golfer, and had a successful year at club, district, county, and national level, and lowered my handicap to plus 3. From the start of the 2006 season I have decided to play Professional Golf and aim to make a living out of it!! When
I am not playing or practicing I like to spend my time with my
girlfriend Laura and socialising with friends and family, I am also
an avid fan of the Huddersfield Giants and enjoy watching Rugby
