"THE CHRIS HANSON CHALLENGE" 2006
"The Chris Hanson Challenge" Team of four, 3/4 hcp with the two best scores on each hole to count, all to count on the 4th and 6th. Shotgun start at 1.00pm. Men, Ladies, Amateur, or Professional could play.
What a fantastic day it was, starting off warm but with the wind machine turned up to its full it was never going to be easy. Everyone but 1 arrived on time due to the clocks changing and at 1 the rocket was fired and all 28 teams hit the course. About half way through the round the wind dropped and left us with a severe downpour for the back nine. Everybody ended up socked but it did not seem to spoil the spirit of the day. With an activity on every hole it did need some organising but with the help of Sue Kaye and many of the members it was ran to perfection and I cant thank them enough.
